Snow Day - Snow Paint

Waking up to snow covering the ground, my darling daughter screamed in delight that its finally time to make "Frosty the Snowman" outside. This movie/song became her FAVORITE of the holidays and I promised that we could indeed build our own magic snowman when we got enough snow. I wish we could play outside, but the wind chill is making it feel like 12 degrees outside! BRRR! After a minor meltdown about being denied outdoor play time, I tried to make it up to her with SNOW PAINT!
Snow Paint Recipe: Mix equal parts Elmers School Glue and shaving cream/gel. Paint on thick paper. Add buttons/glitter/beads as desired. (Requires 24 hours to completely dry but travels without mess within 20 minutes!)

Welcome!

What can you find on SewingAndBeyond.blogspot.com? Creativity meets silly.
My grandmother taught me to sew a straight line when I was young. I made simple clothes for my dolls and some fleece hats as the extent of my sewing. Now in my 20's I've picked up sewing again. I began sewing by following simple tutorials I found on blogs. In between sewing capes and tutus for my small business, I am making homemade play-doh, letting glitter go wild, using a hot glue gun with a toddler! You'll find tutorials, pattern and book reviews, preschool age crafting ideas, and some late night ramblings. Please subscribe to my RSS feed and check out my business One+Tutu on Facebook! Thanks for stopping by!
